Arab Weather - The latest satellite images from the Arab Weather Regional Center show that Iraq is affected by a deep surface depression that is attracting hot and dusty winds from the Arabian Peninsula desert towards Iraq. Dusty weather prevails in most areas, including the capital Baghdad, as a result of active southeasterly winds, with a decrease in horizontal visibility.

In the evening hours, the weather remains dusty, and a state of atmospheric instability arises, as clouds multiply at different altitudes. Showers of rain are expected in scattered areas of northern and eastern Iraq, concentrated in the northeastern parts, specifically in the city of Sulaymaniyah. The rains will be heavy at times, with hail showers and thunderstorms, which may lead to a rise in water levels and the occurrence of water pools. There is a fear of the risk of floods and a rise in water levels, with valleys and ravines flowing as a result of heavy rains.
