Iraq | A relatively cold air mass affects the country, bringing with it a noticeable night-time cold in the coming days
Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center reported that the latest data issued by computer simulation models indicate that Iraq will be affected by a relatively cold air mass, especially in the northern and western regions. It extends towards the central regions and the capital, Baghdad. Its effect is expected to continue throughout the week, with a noticeable increase in nighttime cold, especially during the second half of the week.
The air mass effect deepens with the second half of the week and the temperature in Baghdad is the lowest since last spring
According to computer data, the air mass is expected to deepen in the second half of the week. This will lead to a further drop in temperatures to be 7 to 9 degrees Celsius below their usual rates. The weather will be cool in the morning, especially in the northern and western regions, and pleasant during the rest of the day in most areas, including the capital, Baghdad.
14 Day Weather in Baghdad, Iraq
The capital, Baghdad, is set to experience autumn temperatures
Baghdad is expected to record its lowest temperatures since spring, ranging between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius during the day, while the northern and western regions will record between 19 and 23 degrees Celsius (between 8 and 10 degrees in mountainous areas), and temperatures in the south will drop to around 25-27 degrees.
Cold nights await Iraq this week
Forecasts indicate a further drop in temperatures during the night, as the weather becomes relatively cold in the late night and dawn hours, especially in the western and northern regions, and very cold in the mountainous regions.
Minimum temperatures range between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius in the capital Baghdad, while they are lower in the northern and western regions. This large difference in temperatures between day and night can reach 14-17 degrees Celsius, which increases the chances of catching colds and seasonal diseases. Therefore, it is advisable to wear warm clothes, especially for children and the elderly, during the late night and early morning hours.
And God knows best.
