Iraq | Basra Governorate suspends official work next Thursday, coinciding with the date of the Iraq-Jordan match
Arab Weather - Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani directed today, Tuesday, to declare next Thursday an official holiday in the governorate, in order to provide the opportunity for fans to attend the match between the Iraqi national team and its Jordanian counterpart.
In a statement to the official agency, Al-Eidani confirmed that
"Thursday will be an official holiday in Basra Governorate to enable fans to watch the anticipated match between the Iraqi national team and its Jordanian counterpart."
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi national team will face its Jordanian counterpart in an important match in the World Cup qualifiers, which will be held at the Palm Trunk Stadium in Basra next Thursday.
