On the other hand, the claim that “darkness will turn the sun's rays into night,” as the publications claimed, is not true according to scientists' assessment.

Robert Simcoe, director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for Astrophysics and Space Research, confirmed that "the sky will not turn black" during the next eclipse.

Speaking to Agence France-Presse, Simcoe explained, “The moon will obscure the disk of the sun during the eclipse, but the light will not disappear completely. The situation will be like a sunset moment in the middle of the day.”

Although some rumors have been circulating about the duration of the eclipse, the US Space Agency (NASA) has confirmed that the maximum duration of this anticipated event will be four minutes and 28 seconds , and this will be specifically in Torreon, Mexico.
