The sunken Chinese city..a true copy of the Greek Atlantis
ArabiaWeather.com - Sinan Khalaf - 130 feet under water in Chinese territory, specifically in the Shicheng area, there is an ancient city that was once the economic and political center in eastern Zhejiang Province.
However, in the fifties of last year, the Chinese government saw the need to build a hydroelectric power station, and from here, a large lake surrounded by dams began to be built around the historic city, but unfortunately, as soon as the water was pumped into the lake, that city completely sank under the lake.
The city in question is located under a lake between the mountains known as the "Five Lions Mountains". The lake was named after Lake "Kiandu". The group of photos taken from the bottom of the water showed that the historical city contained a number of temples.
It is noteworthy that the Greek philosopher "Plato" had written about "Atlantis" 2,600 years ago, describing it as an island located in front of the straits called "Pillars of Hercules."
