Morocco | The moment a residential building collapses in Casablanca
Weather of Arabia - A 4-storey residential building collapsed in the city of Casablanca, northern Morocco, on Thursday afternoon, without causing any casualties.
Residents of the building located in the Borcon neighborhood evacuated their homes after its walls suffered cracks as a result of repairs suspected to have been carried out by one of the residents. The Moroccan news website Hespress reported that “the collapsed building was inhabited, and had it not been for divine kindness, the tragedy would have been great.”
Local authorities arrived at the site immediately after the accident occurred, and an investigation was opened to determine its causes and arrange the necessary legal consequences.
This incident brings to mind the tragedy of the Borcon neighborhood that the same neighborhood witnessed in 2014, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.
