During the activity, 5 innovative ideas were presented by the finalists of the Earthshot Award 2021 in 3 categories: (reviving the oceans, climate reform, and building a world without waste) from the five categories of the award.

 

Her Majesty pointed to the possibilities and opportunities that will accompany supporting green innovations and the climate, such as the ideas that were presented, such as coral cultivation on land, providing electricity without networks, harnessing and investing the sun, and building cement sea walls. Her Majesty noted a study that included 50 countries representing half of the world's population, which found that about two-thirds of people agree that climate change is an emergency.

 

In his opening speech, Prince William said: "We have reason to hope, our future is not yet set, and while the task before us is great, we can still fix our planet and build a better world."

 

He added that Earthshot's mission is more than a prize, it is a global team effort to inspire urgent optimism and game-changing innovation to change our future.
