“India reveals a plan to send a manned mission to the moon in 2040

The Indian Prime Minister , Narendra Modi, announced an ambitious initiative aimed at achieving major achievements in the field of space. The initiative included plans to establish the first Indian manned space station by 2035 , in addition to a directive to send the first manned Indian space mission to the moon by 2040. This step comes After the success of the "Chandrayan-3" mission, in which the Indian spacecraft successfully landed near the south pole of the moon, making India the fourth country to achieve a successful landing on the surface of the moon. This decision seeks to strengthen India's position in the field of space exploration and scientific research, The plan also includes developing programs to study other planets such as Venus and Mars, and achieving new achievements in the world of space.

The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, called on the Indian Space Studies Department to establish the first Indian manned space station by 2035, in addition to directing the sending of the first Indian manned space mission to the moon by 2040 , according to what was reported by the Indian Prime Minister’s Office.

Modi held a meeting with employees of the Indian Space Studies Department to discuss preparations for the first Indian manned space mission in Earth orbit , “Gaganyaan” , and it was agreed to launch this mission in 2025.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of achieving success in the “Chandrayan-3” lunar and “Aditya L1” solar missions, and stressed the need to set new goals for Indian space programs, including establishing a manned space station and sending Indian astronauts to the moon by 2040, and In order to realize these ambitious projects, the Space Studies Department will prepare the roadmap for studying the Moon and the Chandrayaan project programs. The Prime Minister also called on Indian scientists to consider programs to explore other planets such as Venus and Mars.
