An extension of the Red Sea depression will bring a rise in temperatures in the coming days and active easterly winds in some periods.
Arab Weather - The results of the computer simulation in the regional Arab Weather indicate that temperatures will gradually rise again in the coming days, especially on Monday, to return and become warmer than their averages for this time of year, as a result of the Kingdom being affected by an extension of the so-called Red Sea depression, with an expected return of the activity of the eastern winds that raise dust and dirt, which leads to a noticeable increase in the feeling of coldness, especially at night and in the early morning.
Sunny and pleasant weather on Sunday in most areas
Temperatures tend to rise slightly on Sunday, becoming higher than their average for this time of year by about two degrees Celsius. The weather will be relatively cold to pleasant, with scattered clouds appearing, while the weather will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Fog is also likely to form during the dawn and morning hours, especially in the eastern plains and desert roads, and the winds will be light southeasterly.
The Kingdom will be affected by an extension of the Red Sea depression on Monday and Tuesday
Jordan will be affected on Monday and Tuesday by an extension of the so-called Red Sea Depression. Specialists at the Arab Weather Center said that the Red Sea thermal depression does not follow the characteristics of the Mediterranean frontal depressions, so its effects on the Kingdom will be in the form of:
Rise in temperature:
The Red Sea depression will cause temperatures to rise to be 4-6 degrees Celsius above their usual rates, but the feeling of coldness will be clear during the morning due to the activity of the winds. The weather will be cool during the day over the highlands and pleasant in the rest of the Kingdom, while night temperatures will rise compared to what they were in the previous days, and the atmosphere will be relatively cold at night, God willing.
Moderate southeasterly winds will be active on Monday, causing dust and dirt to rise:
Coinciding with the dry extension of the Red Sea depression during the middle of the week, there is a high pressure system from the north and east, with moderate speed easterly to southeasterly winds blowing, sometimes active and causing dust and dirt storms in several areas on Monday, which in turn leads to a noticeable increase in the feeling of cold, especially in the early morning hours.
Temperatures reach 20 degrees Celsius in some parts of the capital, Amman
It ranges from 16 to 17 degrees Celsius above the high mountainous elevations, while in the rest of the regions it reaches about 18-20 degrees Celsius, including neighborhoods of the capital Amman, especially the eastern part. As for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba regions, the maximum temperatures are around the mid-twenties Celsius.
