We can see the remains of Makawer Castle on the top of a hill. Its shape is square, and at every corner there is a prominent tower. Inside the palace, there is a courtyard surrounded by a group of rooms and halls, and it contains tanks for collecting rain water.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="line-height:1.6em">A mosque was erected at the southeastern corner of the palace, and archaeological evidence indicates that its construction was Nabataean.
