Pictures: The Great Mosque of Mecca is full of pilgrims
ArabiaWeather.com - The Sacred Mosque is filled with pilgrims following their performance of the first Friday prayer of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, with great fluidity in movement after exploiting King Abdullah's northern expansion for the first time during this year's Hajj.
The pilgrims performed the Friday prayers amid an integrated system of services provided by the Saudi government to serve the pilgrims of the House of God, in a scene of faith and a spiritual atmosphere dominated by security, safety, comfort and stability.
And from the early hours of yesterday morning, Friday, and amid the spread of security men and service agencies, the Great Mosque of Mecca began witnessing the influx of pilgrims to the Sacred House of God, as its corridors, floors, and courtyards were filled with worshipers, and its ranks extended to the squares and roads leading to the Grand Mosque, according to the Saudi newspaper Sabq.
For his part, the commander of the special force for the security of the Grand Mosque , Major General Yahya bin Musaed Al-Zahrani, confirmed the readiness of the special force for the security of the Grand Mosque to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God, in cooperation with the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and all concerned sectors.
He explained that King Abdullah's northern expansion was exploited for the first time during Hajj this year and had great effectiveness in easing crowds, and called on the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God to cooperate with the security men who work to serve them, to facilitate the organizational process by adhering to the instructions of Hajj and obtaining Hajj permits, and also called on them not to Sit in the corridors and ask the security men about any services they want.
