The construction of the palace dates back to the eighteenth century, specifically in the year 1718 AD. During the following centuries, many modifications were made to it, but despite that, it preserved its classic design.
Louis Napoleon Bonaparte was the first president to make the palace his residence in 1848 AD, and the Elysee closed during World War II, and the Nazis never used the building and left it empty until after the war, then President Charles de Gaulle lived in it from 1959 to 1969 AD.
The palace includes the office of the head of state and the meeting place of the Council of Ministers, and it has many halls, including the Ambassadors Hall, Cleopatra Hall, Pompadour Hall named after, the Furniture Hall, the Green Hall, the Banquet Hall and others ..
