Arabiaweather.com - Salzburg Castle, or Hohensalzburg, is located in Austria, perched on top of the "Festenberg" mountain. It is 250 meters long and 150 meters wide, making it one of the largest medieval castles in Europe.

It was built in 1077 AD by a bishop called "Gehard von" and it was with a wooden wall, and then it was expanded during the era of the Roman Empire. Once again, the castle was gradually expanded over the following centuries. In the year 1462 A.D., the circular walls and towers were constructed by the Prince-Bishop, "Berkhard II".

Then, during the reign of Prince Leonard, the railway was developed and built to be the oldest in the world. In the late nineteenth century, the castle was renovated to become a wonderful tourist attraction that brings tourists from different places.
