ArabiaWeather.com - Dubai leads the countries of the region and perhaps the world in the competition to break records with regard to complex architectural projects, as the emirate is currently planning to build the longest indoor ski slope in the world.

Dubai aspires, through its plans to compete for world records, including this project, to break 5 new world records.

This huge project will be the world's largest indoor ski slope ever, 1.2 kilometers long and 180 meters high, although local temperatures sometimes exceed 45 degrees Celsius above zero, but there will be snow throughout the year. It will also include many distinctive and unique services and buildings.

The emirate currently occupies the second position for the longest indoor ski slope in the world, in the facility that opened in 2005 in the Mall of the Emirates, and was placed by the Guinness Book of Records in second place with a length of 400 meters, and is only exceeded by the AlpinCenter in Germany, with a length of 640 meters.

The project comes as part of a larger scheme called "Meydan One", which will also include the tallest residential tower building in the world with a length of 711 meters, a dancing musical fountain with a height of 420 meters, a giant shopping center, and other facilities.

The plan also includes the highest 360-degree viewing hall, with a height of 655 meters from the ground, surpassing the viewing hall in the Burj Khalifa, which is 555 meters high, in addition to the highest restaurant at a height of 675 meters from the ground.

The Meydan One complex is expected to open after 5 years, which will cost between $6.8 billion and $8.1 billion, and accommodate 78,000 people at one time.

It is noteworthy that the Emirate of Dubai plans to build the first administrative building printed with 3D technology, in addition to the "Meydan One" complex.
