In pictures: a market above the river in Indonesia
ArabiaWeather.com - Mohamed Salama - Southeast Asian countries are famous for their many rivers, and this is what prompted people in those regions to take advantage of them as a place to display their products by establishing markets on boats that sail in the width of the rivers passing through different cities.
After the merchants finish selling their goods, the journey back to the homes begins, and they drive their boats in a line of more than 20 boats connected in a chain, and a large boat pulls this chain in an astonishing view, and this scene is usual in the early morning on the trip to go to the market and when returning home after the workday is over.
These markets offer a variety of food, fruits, fish and vegetables.
