أما عن وفاته ، فقد توفي في منزله بمدينة "توكسون" بولاية أريزونا الأمريكية ، بعد شهر واحد فقط من عيد ميلاده الثامن ، وكان مالكاه "ديف وكريستي ناصر" قد صرّحا عبر صفحتهما الرسمية على موقع "الفيسبوك" مايلي : "بقلب مُثقل بالألم ، نُعلن وفاة العملاق جورج الليلة الماضية ، حيث وافته المنية بصورة طبيعية وهو محاط بنا جميعاً ، بعدما كان يعاني من أعراض الشيخوخة والتقدم بالسن !
