Video | A 100-car crash on a highway in China...and the weather is the reason!
Arabia Weather - According to official media reports issued last Friday, a mass collision occurred in the Chinese city of Suzhou, where more than 100 cars collided on a section of the highway as a result of the road freezing; Due to harsh weather conditions.
The traffic police in the Suzhou Industrial Zone reported through its WeChat account that 3 people were injured and taken to hospital, while 6 others sustained minor injuries.
China faces cold weather challenges
Recently, large areas of China have been exposed to cold weather waves, snow storms and snow rain, which has greatly affected transportation, especially at the time of the usual return of millions of people to their homes to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The Chinese news agency “Xinhua” reported that the government has lifted level of its emergency response this week to severe cold waves, and also began implementing several plans to support the flow of transportation, supplies and electricity in several regions and cities, including Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Anhui and Hubei.
