<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">ArabiaWeather.com- A 100-meter-wide hole suddenly opened at a camp on a popular beach in Australia, swallowing vehicles, including a caravan trailer, last night.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The hole on Rainbow Beach, Queensland, began slowly opening from around midnight last night as sand fell several meters and disappeared into the sea.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Australian broadcaster ABC said a woman ran screaming through the camp, banging on caravans and shouting for people to get out and run.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="line-height: 1.6em;">A car, a truck and a caravan sank almost immediately, and the hole widened until it became three meters deep and 100 meters in diameter, according to the TV channel.</span></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Police said more than 140 people in the camp had to flee from the widening hole.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The beach, 240km north of Brisbane, is a popular camping site and was the scene of a similar incident in 2011.</p>
