Because of Corona ... a curfew was imposed in Baghdad and Najaf from Tuesday
Arab Weather - The Iraqi authorities decided, on Sunday, to impose a curfew in the capital, Baghdad, from next Tuesday to March 24, as part of efforts to combat the emerging Corona virus.
The Border Ports Authority, participating in the crisis cell meeting chaired by resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, revealed on Sunday that the cell has taken a decision to impose a curfew in Baghdad from Tuesday evening.
She added that "the meeting discussed developments in the health situation and the procedures of the Ministry of Health and Environment, its cadres and crisis cell to prevent the spread of the virus and ways to prevent it, and the measures to be taken in light of the developments and challenges facing the work of the crisis cell and support its efforts."
"The meeting concluded with a number of decisions, including the imposition of the curfew from 11:00 pm and from (17 to 24 March) with the exception of goods from the curfew," the commission said.
And Saturday, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced the registration of 5 new HIV infections.
The ministry said that the new infections in the governorates of Baghdad, Dhi Qar and Karbala, bringing the total number of injuries to 110 cases.
