The center of Hurricane Milton was located inland near latitude 28.1 north and longitude 81.3 west and continued to move east-northeast at a speed of 16 miles / hour. This general movement is expected to continue until this afternoon.
Maximum sustained winds reached 90 mph with higher gusts as Milton maintained its strength as a devastating hurricane as it crossed Florida this morning, with Milton gradually losing strength and tropical characteristics and slowly weakening as it enters the Atlantic Ocean.
