Arab Weather - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation noted that, as a result of the freezing and power outages, some areas were affected by the suspension of pumping stations for several hours, which affected the pumping quantities for some areas. Emphasizing that its technical cadres worked until things returned to normal and pumping back to the areas.

The cumulative amount of rain and the highest percentage of precipitation ever recorded in Irbid

The ministry said that the recent air depression raised the volume of cumulative rain falling from the beginning of the season on all governorates of the Kingdom until Thursday morning to (37.2%) from the long-term annual average of (8.1 billion m3), and that the highest percentage of precipitation during the past few hours. The last (24) mm were recorded in Irbid / Al-Hosn Station (18,4).

The amount of water entering the dams

She explained that the quantities of water entering the dams since the beginning of the rainy season on 20/11/2021 until this morning amounted to about (20,355) million m3, bringing the total dam storage to about (95) million m3, with a total storage rate of (28.2%) of its total capacity. The amount of (336,4) million m3 has been concentrated in the quantities entering King Talal Dam since the beginning of the rainy season, to record about (11,217) million m3.

Regarding precipitation rates, it indicated that its monitoring stations recorded an average of (7.3 mm) in the governorates of the capital, Amman, Al Balqa (8.5 mm), Madaba (7.7) mm, Zarqa (1) mm, Jerash (6.4 mm). ) mm, Mafraq (1,3) mm, Irbid (6.6) mm, Ajloun (7,7) mm, Karak (9.2) mm, Tafila (4.6) mm, Maan (3.5) mm The obstacle is (0,1) mm.

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation has appealed to everyone to take advantage of all rainfall, not to dump waste into valley streams, to ensure that rainwater gutters are not connected to sewage networks, and to ensure that water meters and household water facilities are protected from freezing.
