He pointed out that "there is a committee of the relevant authorities in each region that counts the abandoned wells and determines the procedures and controls that guarantee the safety of road pedestrians and hikers," explaining that "with this step, the ministry completed the first phase of the project to fortify and fill abandoned wells in the Kingdom, while coordination is currently underway with The joint committees in the relevant authorities, to launch the second phase, which aims to fortify and fill in more than 5,000 abandoned wells.

He pointed out that "the ministry has made it possible to report any abandoned well in all regions of the Kingdom through the unified application system for electronic services that serve all sectors of the ministry "inform" via an electronic link or via the unified phone (939) with three steps that start with logging in, choosing the site, and entering The annexes, and then follow up the report, stating that when the ministry’s branches receive any report, the committee to survey the abandoned wells in the concerned area visits the specified site, prepares a report on the condition of the well and its danger, and determines the method of treatment, either by immunization or backfilling.
