After sunset on the day of Arafat... Get to know Muzdalifah, the destination of pilgrims
Weather of Arabia - With sunset on the day of Arafat, pilgrims begin to flock to Muzdalifah to perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers, and spend the night there the night of Eid al-Adha.
The location of Muzdalifah and its importance
Muzdalifah is located between Mina and Arafat, and it is one of the sacred sites that pilgrims pass through during the Hajj rituals. After leaving Arafat, the pilgrims gather in Muzdalifah, where they perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers, combined and short, and remain there until the morning of Eid al-Adha, then they head to Mina.
The names of Muzdalifah and the reason for naming them
- Muzdalifah: It was given this name because pilgrims approach Mina there, and it is said that “Muzdalif” means approaching.
- Combined: Because pilgrims combine the Maghrib and Isha prayers in it.
- The Sacred Mash’ar: God mentioned it in the Holy Qur’an by saying: “So remember God at the Sacred Mash’ar” (Al-Baqarah: 198).
