An Italian town that gives money to anyone who wants to live in it
Weather of Arabia - The town of Candela, in the Italian region of Puglia, provides a valuable opportunity for those who wish to move from their countries and enjoy a calm and comfortable atmosphere, by providing a sum of money to help them start their new life in the town.
The mayor of Candela told CNN that the local town council intends to give the new residents an incentive amount of up to 2,000 euros, equivalent to 2,350 US dollars, for the incoming families, in an attempt to restore life to the town, which has become almost deserted.
The local town council provides incentive sums of money according to the social status of the expatriates, as the single person gets 800 euros, while the newlyweds get 1200 euros, while the family of 4 people gets 2000 euros.
It is reported that the conditions for new arrivals to obtain financial sums are very simple, as it only requires finding a suitable house in the town and renting it, in addition to providing proof to the competent authorities that your annual income is not less than 7,500 euros.
This step comes as part of the town's efforts to restore life to the city after its population decreased from 8,000 in 1990 to 2,700 today.
Despite its beauty and splendor of nature, the town is considered the least famous place in Italy. It is famous for its restaurants that serve delicious Italian meals, starting from seafood, and ending with cheeses and pastries.
In addition to the above, the town overlooks wonderful beaches with amazing rock formations, according to what was reported in the British newspaper Mirror Online.
