Good news for Jordanians...Cancellation of all kinds of bans and allowing face-to-face education as of 9-1-2021

Weather of Arabia - The Jordanian government announced during the end of May that it had developed a clear gradual plan that extends in time until the beginning of next September; With the aim of achieving a safe summer, while emphasizing the importance of balancing the priority of protecting the health of the citizen, preserving his livelihood and the wheel of the economy.

The plan to reach a safe summer was divided into three phases. The first phase was activated on June 1, which included the gradual reopening of some sectors and activities, and procedures to regulate the entry of those coming from outside Jordan.

The second phase was also activated on July 1, and included reducing the night ban hours, and measures to stimulate tourism, especially in the Golden Triangle area in southern Jordan, which includes Aqaba, Petra, Wadi Rum and Disi camps, and the return of work for public sector employees by 100%.

The second phase also included a gradual return to face-to-face education in colleges of higher education for specializations determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and according to health requirements, foremost of which is the receipt of vaccinations.

As for the third stage, it will start during the next week on September 1 (on Wednesday), and it aims to return to most aspects of normal life ; It will:

• Cancellation of all forms of ban
• The return of face-to-face education in schools and universities
• Allow the majority of sectors and activities to operate at all times and at their full capacity

The implementation of the stages of the plan to reach a safe summer will include the issuance of communications and defense orders necessary to implement its procedures, and any of its clauses and stages may be amended, according to the epidemiological situation locally or globally, provided that this is announced in all transparency.

Summary of actions to be taken during the third stage

• Allowing face-to-face education in all social stages, schools and kindergartens

1. Provided that all cadres in schools, universities and kindergartens receive the vaccine and a month has passed since receiving the first dose
2. Adhere to the approved health protocol
3. A month has passed since university students received the first dose of the vaccine

• Allow all sectors to operate at all times and at their full operational capacity, except for wedding halls, festivals and conferences

1. Provided that a month has passed since the cadres received the first dose of the vaccine
2. Adhere to the approved health protocol

• Allow festivals, conferences, exhibitions and theaters to operate at a limited rate of capacity and within special requirements

1. Provided one month after the receipt of cadres and the first dose of patrons vaccine
2. The facility wishing to re-work must submit an application to the responsible authority and sign the pledge to adhere to health protocols
3. Work within special requirements that will be included in the health protocol, including the permitted capacity

• Allow public transport to operate at 100% seating capacity.
