As for the current shape of the building, it still takes the Fatimid architectural character in the internal and external form, as it is a square-shaped courtyard with an exposed middle, and the lighthouse was built during the 13th century AD.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Another mihrab was found under the current one, dating back more than a thousand years, in addition to a number of precious stones and corals, during excavations for the antiquities under the mosque and the renovations that took place 500 years ago.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The mosque is rectangular in shape and extends from east to west. It is divided into two parts, the courtyard and the qibla iwan.
