It begins today.. the cancellation of the Corona examination for those coming to Jordan, and a package of mitigating measures that will enter into force as of March 1

Weather of Arabia - The first day of March begins working with new mitigating measures to deal with the Corona epidemic, which came on the recommendation of the National Committee to Combat Epidemics in accordance with the developments in the epidemiological situation, according to what the government announced through the Minister of State for Information Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal Al-Shaboul.

The procedures that will be implemented as of today March 1 2022 include the following:

• Reducing the isolation period for people infected with the Corona virus to 5 days, starting from the date of taking the PCR sample without the need for another examination after the end of the isolation period.
• Cancellation of procedures related to quarantining contacts with Corona patients.
• Canceling the PCR examination for those coming to Jordan from the country of origin, and at the Jordanian air, land and sea crossings upon arrival, and this applies to Jordanians and non-Jordanians.
• Cancellation of the BCR examination as a condition for entering parties, weddings and gatherings, in a manner that does not conflict with Defense Order No. 35 of 2021, which stipulates the necessity of receiving two doses of the vaccine to enter public and private facilities.
• Cancellation of the registration requirement on the electronic platform GATEWAY2JORDAN for Jordanians before coming to the Kingdom.
• The return of schools to face-to-face education since February 20 2022, as previously decided, with the cancellation of the 10% rate for converting the class or school to distance education, and only isolating the injured student for a period of 5 days from the date of taking the sample, and then returning to the study without the need for a procedure BCR screening as a requirement to return to school.

Among the measures is also the issuance of the epidemiological report weekly, instead of the daily report, after the end of the current wave of the epidemic that the Kingdom is going through.

The government’s announcement of these mitigating measures was accompanied by an affirmation that the epidemic is still continuing locally and globally, and that all decisions are subject to the developments of the epidemiological situation locally and globally, and the affirmation that public health prevention and access to vaccinations are the way to control this epidemic.

While the government confirmed that it is continuing to implement the Defense Law and the orders issued under it in anticipation of any new wave, and for several goals, including supporting the sectors most affected by the pandemic, preserving the job rights of workers in the private sector, and continuing the national program for vaccination against the epidemic.

The Minister of State for Media Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal Al-Shboul, confirmed during his presidency of a meeting with stakeholders from the ministries of health, education and the interior yesterday, Monday in the Prime Ministry, that the goal of the mitigating measures to deal with the Corona epidemic, which will start working today, Tuesday, is a gradual return to life. Natural, in addition to stimulating the economy and revitalizing the commercial and tourism movement, especially with the beginning of the receding of the current wave that the Kingdom is going through.

Al-Shboul said that the global experience in dealing with the epidemic after two years has proven that the most effective way to confront it is through vaccinations, pointing out that Jordan is on the verge of holding elections for provincial councils, municipal councils and the Amman Municipality Council during the current month, in addition to Islamic and Christian religious occasions such as the approaching month of Ramadan and other events. It is accompanied by religious rites and rituals, and the glorious Easter, as well as a promising tourist season during spring and summer.

Al-Shboul stressed that the continuation of the Defense Law and the orders and communications issued according to it is an urgent necessity, as it provides a legal cover that enables the government to support sectors affected by the pandemic, protect workers in the private sector and sustain their jobs, and continue to urge to receive Corona vaccines, in addition to being prepared to deal with any An epidemic setback - God forbid -.
