Arab Weather - Long Island is an island that extends east of the US state of New York in the New York metro area, with a length of about 115 miles from Brooklyn and Queens at the western end to Montauk in the far east of the island, while its width reaches about 20 miles from north to south.
Although Long Island geographically includes Brooklyn and Queens, administratively and politically it only includes Nassau County and Suffolk County in New York State, while Brooklyn and Queens are parts of New York City.

The island is inhabited by seven million locals, and many tourists visit it, especially in some cities such as Huntington, Fire Island, Montauk, Riverhead, Brookhaven, and Babylon, not to mention other tourist destinations such as the Fire Island National Coast, Shelter Island, the Hamptons and the North Fork region.
Hamptons area
It is a series of small villages that make up the southern part of the eastern tip of Long Island, all located between the cities of Southampton and East Hampton, and the Hamptons is famous for its stately homes and high-end retail stores, in addition to its cultural offerings at the Parish Art Museum and the Southampton Art Center.
North Fork area
Located in Suffolk County on Long Island, 80 miles from Manhattan, it stretches from Riverhead in the west to Orient Point in the eastern end. Its most popular attractions are the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium, Herbs Family Farm, East End Lighthouse.
Also not to be missed are Strong Marine Matitoke Bay Marina, which allows boat rentals and offers boating lessons, and Splash Splash Water Park, suitable for all ages, one of the largest water parks in the United States.
Fire Island National Coast
It is a national coast along the lines of reserves and national parks, most of which is located on Fire Island with another part located in the Majestic Village and Beach of the town of Brookhaven. Fire Island is a barrier island that protects the large southern bay of the Isle of Man.
Shelter Island
It is an island and town in Suffolk County. It includes the Mashumack Nature Reserve, which occupies a third of the island's area, and one of its most important features is also the huge and famous Kissing Rock at the end of Crescent Beach.
