Weather of Arabia - The Saudi Public Investment Fund appointed Dr. Klaus Kleinfeld as CEO of the NEOM project, which was announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which is being held in the territories of three countries for the first time, namely Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan.

Today, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince, announced the launch of a huge investment project called "NEOM", which extends for the first time between three countries: Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan.
And the Crown Prince said during his announcement of the project, according to what was reported by the official website of Al-Arabiya TV, that "the" NEOM "area will focus on 9 specialized investment sectors, provided that the first phase of it ends in 2025.
The region is located northwest of the Kingdom, on an area of 26.5 km2, and overlooks from the north and west the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba at a length of 468 km, and is surrounded from the east by mountains with a height of 2,500 meters.

The NEOM project will be built on lands within the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, along with Saudi Arabia, as it will be the first special zone extending between three countries, according to what bin Salman announced.

Mohammed bin Salman said, "(NEOM) will be built from scratch on raw land. Future technologies also form the cornerstone of the development of the project, which will allow the adoption of a new way of life."

"Dr. Klaus has a proven track record of leading some of the world's most dynamic, developing and best-performing companies, and we believe that these skills, combined with his leadership experience, will ensure the success of the project," the Crown Prince stated.
Klaus commented, "The (NEOM) project is a unique opportunity that combines the highest standards of living with unique economic prospects, and I am honored to play this leadership role."

Klaus is a member emeritus of the Brookings Institution and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is an honorary senator of the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum.

Klaus has for many years been a member of the Global Advisory Council of Chinese Chairman Li, the Shanghai Mayor's Council, the Shanghai International Business Leaders' Advisory Council, and a member of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council of the Prime Minister of Russia.

Klaus also served for many years on the boards of directors of Bayer, Morgan Stanley and Hewlett-Packard.
