Previously, in Jordan, we used to change the time to daylight saving time, midnight on the last Thursday in March, and in 2021 the decision was amended to start from midnight on the last Thursday of February every year, instead of the night of the last Thursday of March, while I kept The Council stipulates that the winter time start working from the last Friday of October of each year.

Later, during the year 2022, the Jordanian government decided to install daylight savings time throughout the year.

When this decision was issued, some phones and electronic devices did not install daylight saving time, which made users change the time manually to ensure that the devices continue to work in daylight saving time, and this issue was valid until yesterday night, which is the previously established date for changing the time to daylight saving time.

Phones change the time and advance the clock on their own

Devices that set DST automatically were not affected by the date, but devices that set the time manually from users changed the time and clock forward based on when the change to DST was previously scheduled.

The solution to this issue is to go back to the phone settings and change the time mode to automatic rather than manual mode, thus adjusting the clock.
