Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - Specialists in the Arab Regional Weather Center have warned of the severity of the weather disturbances that are expected to be affected by the southwestern and western highlands of the Kingdom during the last days of this month of July, in particular Najran, Jazan, Asir and Al Baha, in addition to parts of The Taif region, as these areas are expected to receive successive waves of very heavy thunderstorms, with a high probability of torrential torrents forming in some areas.

During the last days of July, large amounts of tropical moisture are expected to flow from the Arabian Sea and the Horn of Africa towards the entire southwestern and western sector of the Kingdom, causing strong weather disturbances and forming cumulus thunderclouds in a wide range.

Very heavy thunderstorms in large quantities are expected to cover most parts of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Najran and parts of Taif , especially the southern highlands bordering with Yemen such as Fayfa, Al-Ardah, Al-Daer Bani Malik, Damad and possibly Abu Al-Arish, amid serious warnings of the possibility of some of these areas being exposed to torrential torrents due to Expected heavy rainfall.
