The second hurricane in a month hits the coast of the United States bordering the Gulf of Mexico

Storm Sally is expected to bring 15 to 30 cm of rain along the central Gulf coast and may cause floods from Florida to Louisiana.

The storm disrupted oil production in the Gulf of Mexico for the second time in less than a month. Evening forecasts from the National Hurricane Center predicted that the maximum wind speeds caused by the storm would reach 137 kilometers per hour before landing on Tuesday.
Oil companies evacuated employees from some offshore platforms on Saturday as Sally reached the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The wind reached 65 kilometers per hour.
Chevron and Murphy Oil evacuated offshore oil platforms, and Chevron prepared to halt production at two other platforms.
