Expected snows in Sharah heights with hours on Tuesday morning

Weather of Arabia- The Kingdom is affected by a situation of air instability with the hours of Monday night and Tuesday, as a result of the convergence of a cold and humid air mass coming from inside Egyptian territory in conjunction with an extension of the Red Sea depression from the south towards the Levant and the northern Arabian Peninsula.

It is noticeable in this expected weather condition, the entry of coolness in different layers of the atmosphere, by an unusual path, from inside the Egyptian territories through the Sinai Peninsula, towards the Kingdom, where the southern region is the closest to the center of the cold air mass, and given the great rise from the sea in an area Al-Sharah Mountains and the Jordanian-Saudi borders in the “Umm Al Dami” region, where it is expected that the rains will be in the form of snow.

This opportunity begins, God willing, as soon as cold air enters the various layers of the atmosphere, with the hours of dawn and Tuesday morning, and extends until the hours before noon, where temperatures rise again in the lower layers, and the large cold in the high layers of the atmosphere moves towards northern Saudi Arabia.

This opportunity includes the high areas of the Al-Sharah mountain range that are more than 1500 meters above sea level, which are the districts of western Ma'an Governorate, the highlands of the Al-Shoubak District, the highlands of the Petra District, and the border region with Saudi Arabia represented by the “Umm Al-Dami” region, as well as potentially reaching the Qadisiyah and Rashadiyah heights south of Tafila Governorate.

It is expected that this state of air instability will supply many agricultural regions in the Kingdom with significant amounts of rain considered as a complement to this distinguished rainy season in various regions of the Kingdom.
