How to access
The island is located 16 kilometers from Mersing, a town about two hours east of Johor Baru, and 5 hours from the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, and the only way to reach it is usually by boat from this town.
Speed boats take 30 minutes to arrive, while ferry rides take an hour. During the high season (April to October) there are plenty of ferries and speedboats running between Mersing and Rawa. It is also possible to come here from another island such as Tioman.
