Weather of Arabia - The Lofoten Archipelago is a group of islands in northern Norway, adorned with small fishing villages located on the outskirts of fjords descending from very rugged coasts and high peaks. Lofoten Island is often described as one of the most famous tourist attractions in Norway .
The most important tourist cities and towns of Lovonen on the island of Lofoten are manifested in Rhine, Svolvaer, Stamsund, Leknes, and another city called Å , which means the river in the local language, and therefore the name of the archipelago is added to it so that people can differentiate it from other rivers and straits in the country.
As for the tourist villages, the most famous of them is Henningsvaer, which is a pleasant village that is reached by a short bus trip to Svolvaer, and there is also Kabelvage, which is the oldest fishing village, and it has become a great tourist destination for lovers of seafood and small shops.
Lofoten Islands
The Lofoten Archipelago consists of many islands, the most famous of which are Hinoia in the southwestern part of the archipelago, Ostväuje in the southern part, Gemsøy, Flakstadwe, Moskenesøia Rust, and several other smaller islands.
Vestväogwe is another municipality and island in the county of Nordland in northern Norway, and is one of the most populated areas of the Lofoten and Westerlen regions.
Fairwee is a small island about six hours by ferry from Bodø, but it attracts adventurous travelers, famous for its natural scenery and the abundance of puffins that nest here throughout the summer.
Trollefjord Strait
A fjord called Trollfjord or Troefjorden, located in Hadsel municipality in the North-Nordland province, has a narrow entrance and is surrounded by steep mountains and extends for two kilometers to the island of Ostfagoya and then flows into the Raftsund Strait. Due to falling rocks, navigation is prohibited during the spring.
Muskstromen spiral
The Moskstraumen vortex, popularly known as the Maelström, is one of the most powerful ocean eddies in the world and occurs twice a day in the area between Fayroe and Miskeneswe islands and between the Norwegian Sea and Vestfjorden.
The Moskstromen vortex has been shown in many documentaries, and even movies, but in a very exaggerated way, and even if it is an area worth visiting, we advise you not to go expecting giant vortices.
