<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>Weather of Arabia - Association of the Moroccan Initiative for Science and Thought</strong></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The Earth will witness the first lunar eclipse of 2018 on Wednesday, January 31, and it will be a total lunar eclipse that will last for an hour, 16 minutes, and 40 seconds.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> This eclipse coincides with the timing of its peak with the time of Badr, the month of Jumada al-Awwal 1439 AH, when the earth’s shadow covers approximately 132% of the moon’s surface, and it can be seen in the areas where the moon appears when it occurs, including north and east Europe, Asia, Australia, and north and east Africa. North America, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean, and Antarctica.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> And two phenomena will meet with the eclipse: the presence of the moon close to the earth in a phenomenon called the giant moon, and the recurrence of the full moon for the second time in one solar month and it is called <span>blue moon</span> , meaning the deceitful moon, and the moon will not be seen in blue, as it is written about deceiving the moon by appearing twice a month.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> And some Arab cities, the moon will rise on it while it is partially eclipsed, and in different proportions, and the highest percentage will be during its sunrise, and it will decrease until the moon comes out of the earth’s shadow at 15:08 UTC.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Here are some data for those who want to see the phenomenon with the naked eye in the Arab world:</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 1- The Sultanate of Oman: In the capital, Muscat, the eclipse will be 100 <span>%</span> when the moon rises at 18:03 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 2- The United Arab Emirates: In the capital, Abu Dhabi, the eclipse will be 93% when the moon rises at 18:01 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 3- Qatar: In the capital, Doha, the eclipse will be 82% when the moon rises at 17:19 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 4- Kuwait: In Kuwait, the capital, the eclipse will be 69% when the moon rises at 17:29 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 5- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: In the capital, Riyadh, the percentage of the eclipse will be 37% when the moon rises at 18:11 local time. As for Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, there will be a semi-shadow eclipse there.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> - Iraq: In the capital, Baghdad, the eclipse will be 56% at moonrise at 17:37 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> 7- Yemen: In the capital, Sana'a, the eclipse will be 10% when the moon rises at 18:05 local time.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> As for Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt, you will see the penumbral eclipse, and this eclipse will not be seen in Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.</p>
