Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the countries of northern Levant, specifically the coastal areas, are affected these days by the passage of rainy air depressions at intervals, the consequences of which extend to the Kingdom in the form of secondary cases that may bring some scattered rain, especially in the northern regions during the next two days.

As the Kingdom is affected by minor weather conditions during the passage of air depressions from the central Mediterranean to the northeast, there are scattered chances of rain showers in some areas, especially the northern regions of the Kingdom, specifically the governorates of Irbid and Ajloun. The chances of rain are distributed over the coming days as follows:

Friday morning and afternoon: Chance of limited local showers of rain, which may be accompanied by local hail showers over the northern and central mountain peaks. The weather will be generally cold.

Friday/Saturday night: Rain is expected, God willing, at intervals in Irbid Governorate and the northern parts of Ajloun Governorate, accompanied by fog formation as a result of low clouds passing through and touching the ground.

Saturday: The possibility of rain showers remains in limited parts of the north of the Kingdom, especially in the late morning hours, focused on Irbid Governorate.

Sunday/Monday night and Monday: Highest chances of rain, especially in the northern regions of the Kingdom.

Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center are monitoring the possibility that the Kingdom will be affected on Monday/Tuesday night by a low pressure system that will bring rain to wider parts of the Kingdom.

Further drop in temperatures on Friday and cold weather in all regions

As for Friday 12/27/2024, the Kingdom will be increasingly affected by the cold air mass , so temperatures will drop further to around 9 degrees Celsius in the capital Amman, which is colder than their average for this time of year. Cold weather will prevail in most regions of the Kingdom, and the winds will be southwesterly, moderate in speed, active at times and will increase the feeling of cold significantly, God willing.

During the night hours, i.e. Friday/Saturday night, very cold weather prevails in various regions, reaching below zero degrees Celsius in the desert areas and the peaks of the Sharah Mountains. Therefore, it is recommended to heat crops and livestock in conjunction with the severe cold during the night hours.

Jordanian mosques call for performing Istisqa prayer after Friday prayers

The Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places called on its citizens to perform the Istisqaa prayer tomorrow, Friday, in all regions of Jordan, in observance of the Sunnah of the Prophet. The Jordanian ministry said in a statement today, Thursday, that the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, circulated to the directors of endowments in the Kingdom, imams and preachers, to perform the Istisqaa prayer after Friday prayers.

Al-Khalayleh stressed the need to increase good deeds, such as seeking forgiveness, repentance, giving charity, fasting, returning grievances to their owners, and maintaining family ties, to reinforce noble values.
