“The Center received a report at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, that a Saudi Airlines plane had been involved in an accident after landing at Peshawar International Airport.” The statement added: “The flight crew was informed of heavy smoke rising from the plane’s rear wheel system, and as a result... A state of emergency was declared and the passengers and crew were evacuated via emergency sleds.
The center concluded its statement by saying:
“The specialized investigation team at the National Transportation Safety Center is currently in continuous communication with the relevant authorities, to find out all developments and uncover the circumstances of the incident.”
