Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest advanced computer outputs show an increase in the flow of cold winds across the various layers of the atmosphere on Sunday and Monday, as the low pressure system develops into a rainstorm over central Europe, causing an increase in the severity of weather disturbances, heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms at times, and large hail falling on several countries in central and southern Europe, including the Balkan countries, which increases the risk of torrents and floods.

Snowfall to increase in European Alps in the coming days

In the same context, advanced computer outputs indicate an increasing impact on the Alps, and with the decrease in temperatures across the various layers of the atmosphere, and due to the specificity of the Alps, which rise more than 3,000 meters above sea level, the density of falling snow increases, which will lead to an increase in snow thickness to range between one and two meters above some towering peaks.
