Government plan to open sectors to reach a safe summer

Arab Weather - The plan to reach a safe summer is divided into three phases, the first phase begins on 6/1/2021, and interspersed with the gradual reopening of some sectors and activities, and procedures to regulate the entry of people coming from outside the Kingdom.

The second phase starts on 7/1/2021 and will include reducing the hours of the night ban, and measures to stimulate tourism, especially in the Golden Triangle region in the south of the Kingdom, which includes Aqaba, Petra, Wadi Rum and Disi camps.

There will be additional health requirements for visiting the Golden Triangle, with the aim of bringing tourism and economic activity back to pre-pandemic levels.

The second stage includes the 100% return of public sector employees, and there will be a gradual return to face education in colleges of higher education for specializations determined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in accordance with health requirements, foremost of which is receiving vaccinations.

The third stage begins on 9/1/2021, and we aim through it to return to most aspects of normal life, as the ban in all its forms will be canceled, face education in schools and universities will return, and most sectors and activities will be allowed to operate at all times and with full capacity.

The implementation of the stages of the plan to reach a safe summer will include issuance of reports and defense orders necessary to implement its procedures.

Minister of State for Media Affairs: I reiterate that all measures included in the plan will be subject to review and evaluation in light of the developments in the epidemiological situation, and any of its terms and stages may be amended, depending on the epidemiological situation, locally or globally. This will be announced with full transparency.
