Steps to follow to restart your car battery in the winter

Weather of Arabia - The British newspaper "The Sun" published a set of steps and tips to deal with the battery stopping its work, and the correct way to use restarting the battery with another car's battery.

The first thing to do, the newspaper said, is to remove the broken car's crank switch, and make sure that all lights and the audio player or any other circuits are off.

The British newspaper warned against the presence of coins or coins next to the car battery, or smoking while the engine is running after connecting the cables.

As for the 10 steps to restart the battery, they are as follows:
1- Park the two cars side by side so that it is easy to connect the cables, taking into account the need for the bodies of the two cars not to touch, and make sure that the hand brakes work to avoid one of the two cars slipping during the restart.

2- Remove the plastic cover from the “positive” pole of the donor car battery and connect the red “cable” to it.

3- Connect the other end of the red "cable" to the positive pole of the dead car battery.

4- Connect the black end of the "cable" to the negative terminal on the donor battery.

5- The other end of the black “cable” must be connected to one of the metal parts of the broken car, taking care that it is far from the battery.

6- Start the donor car's engine for a minute, and then try to start the broken car.

7- If the broken-down car does not respond to attempts to start, extend the time to another 5 minutes, but stop for a while if the lead of the batteries reaches a high temperature.

8- Test the engine of the broken car, and if it rotates successfully, leave the engine running for some time to make sure that the battery has been charged.

9- Remove the cables, taking into account to avoid touching them or any other metal parts.

10- After running the car for half an hour, or leave the engine running for a similar period.
