The ministry stated that "precautionary measures have been taken against those coming from South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini and Botswana."
And "Jordanians coming from these countries will be quarantined for a period of 14 days and at their own expense, regardless of the result of the examination to detect corona at Jordanian airports or in the countries coming from them."
According to the spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Haitham Abu Al-Ful, the number of the Jordanian community in South Africa is about 370 Jordanians.
Morocco closes its borders
On Friday, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its decision to close the borders to travelers from southern African countries, saying that the decision includes "in addition to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique and Zimbabwe ."
She explained that the authorities took this decision "following the news related to the emergence of a new and dangerous mutant in South Africa," noting that the ban on entering the country applies to "travelers coming from or transiting through these countries."

Saudi Arabia temporarily suspends flights from 7 African countries
