6 - France

In 2017, the French Parliament passed legislation prohibiting the production of gas and oil within French territory by 2040. Consequently, it is not possible to issue new licenses for oil extraction, and the existing licenses will not be extendable.

And Denmark, by the way, is one of the most oil-producing European countries, as it extracts more than 7,000 tons annually.

Belize (formerly British Honduras) banned the exploration and extraction of oil and gas from its waters in 2018, with the aim of protecting its coral reefs.
