A new record set by the ancient city of Petra with the highest number of visitors last March
Weather of Arabia - The ancient city of Petra in Ma'an Governorate, south of Jordan, is one of the most famous human creations in the world. The archaeological site in the Pink City has the highest number of visits in its history, after 324,350 visitors entered it in the first quarter of this year.
Among the visitors were 292,350 foreign tourists, and thus the number of tourists increased by 35% in the first three months of this year compared to the same period in 2019 (before the Corona pandemic), when the total number of visitors reached 239,975.
The month of March set a record for the first time, and 143,962 visitors entered the archaeological site this month, including 131,116 foreigners.
