The atmosphere in March is characterized by a lot of fluctuations, due to the change in the movement of the atmosphere, represented by the speed of the jet stream movement, and this is due to the increase in the amount of solar radiation falling on the atmosphere in the northern hemisphere, due to the continued rotation of the Earth around the sun, as we approach the time of the vernal equinox, the Earth becomes in a moderate position with respect to the sun (not tilted), so the sun's rays are perpendicular to the Earth's equator, so on the day of the vernal equinox the length of the night is equal to the length of the day in all parts of the Earth.

It is accompanied by a significant decrease in atmospheric pressure and great activity in the winds, which are usually dry and hot and come from the Sahara Desert carrying sandstorms.

Khamaseen depressions are usually preceded by dry, warm winds that are at the front of the cold air mass, causing a clear rise in temperatures, and dry, dusty weather usually prevails.
