Arab Weather - The US Geological Survey reported, on Saturday, that two earthquakes had been recorded in the Red Sea region near the coasts of Saudi Arabia and Sudan .

The authority explained on its website that the first tremor measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, and was about 197 kilometers northeast of the city of Tokar in the Sudanese Red Sea state, while the second tremor measured 4.2 and was about 174 kilometers northeast of the city itself.

For its part, the Saudi Geological Survey stated that seismic monitoring stations recorded an earthquake in the middle of the Red Sea, 161 kilometers west of Al-Laith Governorate in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, at 12:09 am on Saturday morning. She added that the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, at a depth of about 10.4 kilometers.

So far, there have been no reports of losses or impacts resulting from the earthquakes from local authorities in Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
