Sultanate of Oman: a groove from an air depression that affects the Sultanate on Tuesday and continues for several days, and good amounts of rain are expected
Arab Weather - The Arab Weather Regional Center for Meteorology and Weather Forecasts said that the Sultanate's atmosphere is expected to be gradually affected, starting from the evening hours of Monday 1-23-2023, by a depression from an air depression, and it will continue until next Saturday 1-28-2023, and it will bring rain to most of the Sultanate's governorates , but it varies in strength from one governorate to another, and its effect gradually intensifies and reaches its peak at the end of the week.
And in the details, it is expected that the opportunity will be ripe on Monday evening and on Tuesday for rain of varying intensity in separate parts of the northern governorates of the Sultanate, with its concentration on the western Hajar and the coasts of North Al Batinah and South Al Batinah, and the rains will be heavy at times, which may lead to runoff of valleys and reefs. In some areas, it is also not excluded that showers of snow will fall over the peaks of Jabal Shams.
And the latest weather readings analyzed by the Arab Weather Center indicate that it is expected that the atmospheric groove will deepen at the end of the week, and rains of varying intensity accompanied by hail will fall in most of the northern governorates of the Sultanate, with its focus primarily on Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and Al-Dhahirah and parts of Muscat and Al-Dakhiliyah, while its impact is less strong on the rest of the governorates.
It is expected that the cold will penetrate the upper and middle layers of the atmosphere sufficiently to cause intermittent snowfalls and at intervals over the mountain peaks, including Jabal Shams, and may reach Jabal Harim, amid expectations of snow accumulations, God willing.
God knows.
