Rain concentrates on the Hajar mountain range

It is expected that an upper wave (an extension of an air depression in the upper air layers) coincides with an extension of the so-called Empty Quarter depression in the surface layers of the atmosphere, which, God willing, contributes to the surge of quantities of effective moisture that extends from (1.5 km to 5 km from the surface of the earth) from the Arabian Sea Towards the region, it is sufficient to build cumulonimbus clouds with a vertical extension, as the atmosphere becomes unstable in general in some areas, especially the Hajar mountain range due to its mountainous nature, which increases the strength of the cumulus clouds.

Thunderclouds are expected to multiply, especially during the afternoon and evening, on a daily basis, affecting the Hajar mountain range, and Musandam in the first place, the coastal areas overlooking the Sea of Oman, parts of the Dhofar Governorate, and various parts of the northern region, especially those adjacent to the Hajar Mountains , and the rains are mostly light to Medium intensity with some heavy foci sometimes in some neighborhoods and geographical ranges, which may cause the formation of so-called flash torrents, and the sea is moderate and the wave height ranges from one to one and a half meters.

As for the capital, Muscat, it will be the best chance for rain on Thursday, as thunderstorm clouds are expected to form, accompanied by local showers of rain that are sometimes heavy, accompanied by lightning and thunder and activity by surface winds.
