Sultanate of Oman | Suspension of studies and transition to distance learning due to low water levels

Arab Weather - The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation issued a statement announcing the suspension of studies and the transition to distance learning in several governorates, based on information received from the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards regarding expectations of heavy rain starting from the evening of Monday, October 14, 2024.

These measures come in line with directives aimed at preserving the safety of students and staff in educational institutions. The decision includes suspending studies in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, in addition to the mountainous parts of the governorates of Ad Dakhiliyah and Ad Dhahirah, for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

The Ministry wishes everyone safety and stresses the importance of following official channels for more information and updates on the situation.
