Sultanate of Oman: The expected weather conditions on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr
Weather of Arabia - Omani Meteorology issued a forecast weather report for the first days of Eid Al-Fitr - on Saturday, April 22 - where it is likely that low clouds and fog will form at the end of the night and early morning on parts of the south of Al Sharqiyah and the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with opportunities for the formation of cumulus clouds and sporadic thunderstorms. Sometimes accompanied by active winds on the Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas and in the governorates of North Sharqiyah, South Sharqiyah, parts of Al Dakhiliyah and Muscat. Dust is also likely to rise in the desert and exposed areas due to active winds in the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar.
Sea condition on Saturday:
- Sea of Oman (calm/medium - 1.5 metres)
- Musandam coasts (quiet - 1.25 meters)
- Arabian Sea (medium - 2 meters)
As for the winds, it is expected that they will be northeasterly, light to moderate, and active at times over the coastal areas overlooking the Sea of Oman, and southeasterly, moderate to active over the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar, while they will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate over Al Buraimi and A’Dhahirah.
